Great place to go for home cooking when you dont feel like cooking yourself. Theyll make sure to refill your drink often. They always have specials and its always a nice variety. I had the marinated beef strips with rice and gravy the last time I was here and really enjoyed it.

I joined him for dinner on Sat, 10-2. There were quite a few choices & everything was reasonably priced.The portions were generous. I couldn't eat everything & thats not just because I had brunch earlier.Our server was pleasant & attentive. My side of okra didn't come out with my order of calabash shrimp and grilled flounder. She apologized, said it was still cooking, & would bring it right out when it was done.I'm sure I drove by this place a million times over the years. This was our first time stopping in on our way through Harrisburg.

The inside isnt dated and is kept clean. Love coming to the Family House. My dad's been frequenting this restaurant lately.
